Privacy Policy — Storage Rush

Effective date: August 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Storage Rush ("the app", "we") collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. Storage Rush is an Android app that helps you clean up storage space on your device by swiping through your photos and videos.

Information We Collect

Photos and videos on your device are never uploaded, viewed, or stored by us. All media browsing and cleanup happens entirely on your device using Android's built-in media APIs. We do not have access to the actual content of your photos or videos, and nothing you swipe, keep, or delete ever leaves your phone.

The following limited information may be collected if you choose to set up a profile or link an account:

• Nickname — a display name you choose, shown on leaderboards.
• Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated ID used to sync your progress, created automatically when you first use cloud features. This is not linked to your real identity unless you choose to link an email.
• Email address (optional) — only collected if you choose to "Sign Up" or "Log In" to link an account, used solely to let you recover your progress if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
• Gameplay statistics — level, XP, streaks, total storage freed, and number of items cleaned. These are aggregate numbers only (e.g. "1.2 GB freed"), never the files themselves.
• Friend connections — if you choose to add friends via friend codes, we store the connection between your account and theirs so you can see each other's stats on the Friends leaderboard.

If you never link an email or set up a nickname, the app works entirely locally — no data is sent to our servers at all.

How We Use This Information

• To let you recover your progress if you reinstall the app or switch devices (if you've linked an email)
• To display leaderboards (Local, Friends, and Global) showing nicknames, levels, and stats
• To operate the friends system, if you choose to use it

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Storage Rush uses Supabase as its backend provider for account authentication and data storage. Supabase processes the information described above on our behalf. You can read Supabase's own privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.

Device Permissions

Storage Rush requests access to your device's photos and videos (via Android's Photos/Videos or Storage permission) solely to let you browse and manage them within the app. This access is used entirely on-device and is required for the app's core function.

Data Retention and Deletion

If you've linked an email account, your cloud profile (nickname, stats, friend connections) is retained until you request deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below — we'll remove your player record, friend connections, and linked email from our systems.

If you never linked an account, all your data (progress, stats, trash bin) is stored only in the app's local storage on your device and is removed automatically if you uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

Storage Rush is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
